Welcome to the 39th season of the Norman Northstars! We are excited about the upcoming 2024-2025 schedule as our entire coaching staff is returning for a second consecutive season. Our staff has experience at the Professional, University, Jr. A, and U18 AAA levels. With collective years involved in hockey, we have learned that on-ice results start with a strong and positive culture.
Northstar players are expected to buy into our team philosophy and program. Our goal as a program is to develop our players as student-athletes to set them up for success in the future. Education, discipline, and accountability are the foundation of this program, and we expect them to be demonstrated both on and off the ice. As a player, you will be looked upon as a role model and leader within Thompson, the surrounding Northern Communities, and the entire Norman Region.
All players are encouraged to show up in high physical standards. Tryouts are expected to be extremely competitive with a high level of intensity. This year, the Northstars are offering a Conditioning Camp two weeks before tryouts for players to come to camp prepared. The Conditioning Camp will run from August 12th – 16th and 19th – 22nd, with limited spots available.
Norman Northstar tryouts are open and available to all U18 “AAA” aged players 15-17 (2007-2009). Please feel free to forward and pass along this information to any U18 “AAA” player who might be interested. We look forward to seeing you at tryouts from August 23rd – 25th.
