The Manitoba U18 AAA Hockey League is pleased to announce goaltender Preston Kaludjak, of the Norman Northstars, as the CCM Hockey Player of the Week for the week ending October 1.
This past weekend, Preston played 121 minutes and recorded his 1st win in the U18AAA league with a 4-1 win Saturday night vs Interlake, stopping 38 of 39 shots. On Sunday, Preston back stopped 40 of 42 shots resulting in a 2-1 OT loss vs Interlake. the Northstars goaltender stopped a combined total of 78 of 81 shots and now carries a 1.49 GAA. He currently sits 2nd in the league with a .936 SV%.
Preston’s hometown is Rankin Inlet, Nunavut. He is a 16 year old player who is currently in his grade 12 year at R.D. Parker Collegiate in Thompson MB. Preston represented Team Nunavut at the National Aboriginal Hockey Championship in the 2022/23 season.
